This cemetery dates back to 1865 and is known as the Prospect Vale Congregational Cemetery. About 12 years ago the church building and cemetery were sold to the Open Door Fellowship Church who now look after the grave sites in the cemetery. The cemetery was closed in 1995.

The cemetery is well maintained. Headstones are in good condition and most are readable. There is no evidence of vanderlism.
From Launceston take A3 to National Highway 1. Continue on National Highway 1 to Meander Valley Road. Take the exit toward B54/Prospect from National Highway 1. Drive to 296 Westbury Road in Prospect Vale.
